                            The City of Redmond is working on a Refinement plan for US 97 and will evaluate this signal with the construction of the Reroute. $27M to $340M Signal is being evaluated in the Redmond Refinement Plan and will need to be evaluated after the Redmond Reroute is constructed.  High cost of building bypass and obtaining funding.  Public support for Bypass.                    
                             This signal is also scheduled to be a test for a red light runner enforcer to be installed in 2006.  This will include funding for enforcement. $12K Pilot Program, what happened after funding for enforcement is gone?

4 10 US-20 007 1 CENTRAL OREGON HWY @ Dean Swift Rd (MP 2.18) 2.09 2.27 23,400 14 0 64.56 8/8/06 53% rear end (78% W-E), rear end crashes due to high speed and numerous accesses.  Several crashes could have occurred in 2003 (59% total crashes occurred in 2003), 65 % at Dean Swift Rd Pork chop constructed in 2006 to restrict left turns out of Dean Swift Rd.  The Access Management Plan from the Purcell to Providence Project is being implemented to reduce turning movements and conflicts along this portion of highway.  Future median is proposed for US 20, this would reduce this city street to Rt in - Rt out. Mitigation as development occurs Several frontage and backage roads need to be built to reduce the number of accesses and implement the AM Plan for this section of highway.  Reduction of direct access to the highway is not agreeable to the business owners along the highway.  The AM Plan is not adopted in the City of Bend's TSP.
