Addendum 1
As the project completion date approached in January 2006, the project had a budget surplus to expend. The period of performance was extended to determine the best use of these resources. Due to this residual funding, the project team opted to develop additional, new outreach materials.
There was concern with developing materials that would be essentially untested by the target audiences. For this reason, the new materials were designed to replicate the look of the previously developed and tested flyers and brochures. Ultimately, the project team developed five color posters covering each of the five main topics:
- Alcohol
- Bicycling
- Caution
- Driver
- Signals
For each topic, the poster has nearly the exact same format and content as the flyers. The posters are single-sided and roughly 15.5" by 24". The title on each poster reads "¿Sabía Usted?" and the main text on the posters is bilingual. Ten thousand copies of each poster will be produced and provided to FHWA/NHTSA in April 2006.
