Long Description: Local Agency Involvement Process – Wyoming

This image is a flow diagram describing the local agency involvement process in Wyoming. The steps are as follows:

  1. HRRRP Announcement and deadlines
    1. WYLTAP interacts with Counties to implement the 5-Step WRRSP
    2. Counties will develop safety improvement requests with help from WYLTAP
  2. Proposal are submitted to WYDOT by the annual deadline
    1. The Wyoming FHWA Division will approve the projects recommended for funding
    2. The WYDOT Safety Management System Committee will review proposals
    3. The Wyoming Transportation Commission will approve the final list of projects
  3. Agreements are signed between WYDOT and Counties
  4. Safety projects are implemented with help from WYLTAP
  5. WYLTAP will do the final inspection for the completed safety projects
  6. WYLTAP will evaluate the effectiveness of safety improvements after 3 years of implementation
