Dear Mr. Miller:

Thank you for your letter regarding the use of your company's recycled plastic delineator posts. These round posts would be similar to the square signposts that we found acceptable in our October 25, 1993, acceptance letter SS-39, except that they would be significantly smaller. The delineator posts have diameters of 51 mm or 76 mm and lengths of 1.67 m to 2.13 m.

Because they are less formidable obstacles than the signposts already found acceptable in our October 25 letter, the delineator posts of the sizes cited will also be acceptable for use on the National Highway System. All other conditions in our previous acceptance letter are applicable to the delineator posts as well, including the proprietary considerations.
