Dear Mr. Pasakarnis:

This is in response to your August 10, 2009, correspondence requesting the Federal Highway Administration's (FHW A) acceptance of your company's DF3000P portabl e s ign stand as a crashworthy traffic control device for use in work zones and elsewhere on the NaLional Highway System. Accompanying your letter was the FHW A Office of Safety Design form noting the only change is a change in the model number – the origjnaJ Model PS3003S, accepted via FHW A Acceptance Lener WZ-17, is simply being renumbered. You requested that we find this device acceptable for use on the NHS under the provisions of National Cooperative Highway Research Program Report 350 "Recommended Procedures for the Safety Performance Evaluation of Highway Features".

This letter is the acknowledgement of the FHW A's acceptance of your request. The original completed form has been modified by the addition of the FHW A acceptance letter number and the date of our review. The form, of which a copy is enclosed for reference, wi ll be posted on our Web site in the near future.

Sincerely yours,

Signature Michael S. Griffith
