Figure 5.9 is a bar chart and line graph showing the distribution of crashes by type and severity. The graph shows when a particular crash type is overrepresented for severity. For example, the graph shows 15 percent of all crashes are single vehicle roadway departure crashes, yet 33 percent of all severe crashes are roadway departure crashes.
