Figure 3.7 Iowa Northland Regional COG Crash Frequency Data by Jurisdiction – Long Description
Number of Fatal, Major Injury, and Minor Injury Crashes in Bremer County, 2001-2010

Figure 3.7 is a chart showing fatal, major injury, and minor injury crash frequency data for Bremer County, one of the jurisdictions in the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments area. The purpose of the chart is to convey that data can inform transportation safety goals and objectives. For instance, although the graphic shows decreases in all crash areas from 2001 to 2010, there are still a large number of crashes occurring. Based on this data, the Council of Governments may want to create a goal such as “Reduce fatalities and major injuries that result from motor vehicle crashes.”
