The Strategic Highway Safety Plan Implementation Process Model

This figure describes the relationship between the SHSP and the CVSP process. The CVSP mission / goals statement and the identification of program elements should be informed by SHSP goals, emphasis areas, and data/analysis. CVSP program element objectives should be consistent with SHSP strategies. CVSP strategies and activities should be aligned with SHSP priorities and action plans. CVSP activity implementation should provide information to monitor and track overall SHSP implementation efforts. CVSP monitoring and evaluation efforts should be used to help evaluate the SHSP and inform SHSP update activities.
