This figure illustrates typical timelines for the various planning processes. Each of the four major safety and transportation plans (HSIP, STIP, HSP, and CVSP) has an annual planning cycle. The planning cycles should be considered to identify when key outputs of each of the plans should be available and when the SHSP should provide inputs into those plans.
