The expected number of total crashes for the segment under unique design conditions for all crash types and severities is equal to the sum of the expected number of multi-vehicle crashes for fatal and injury crashes and the expected number of multi-vehicle crashes for property damage only crashes and the expected number of single-vehicle crashes for fatal and injury crashes and the expected number of single-vehicle crashes for property damage only crashes equals 8.512 crashes per 3 years. (Total number of expected crashes (in 3 years) is 8.512 crashes.)
