- Roadside Hardware Resource Charts – These charts were developed by FHWA as a tool for selection and identification of various roadside hardware systems to be used by field and design personnel. The information on these charts was extracted from a number of sources, but users should contact the manufacturer for more detailed information. Every available system is not necessarily included on the charts. These are NOT approved products lists.
- AASHTO Task Force 13 Hardware Guides – These guides include specifications as well as details on components of various hardware systems.

Pooled Fund Programs
Many roadside safety issues are common to more than one State, so there is efficiency and cost-effectiveness in pooling resources to address these issues.
- Midwest Roadside Safety Facility (MwRSF): Established in 1991, the MwRSF Pooled Fund Program has 12 member states, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
- Roadside Safety Pooled Fund Program: This program has a total of 18 participating partners including 16 State DOTs, FHWA, and TTI.
