Long Description

Figure 3.2 is a flowchart outlining the planning approach used by local communities in Montana to develop data-driven safety plans. Elements of the approach included: establishing a safety committee, reviewing crash data to establish safety goals, emphasis areas, and safety strategies; development of performance measures to track progress towards the strategies and emphasis areas; the identification of agencies to implement the strategies; the development of the safety plan itself; and then implementation of safety strategies.
